CARPE DIEM ’26, with the inspiring theme “Create, Compete, Conquer,” was celebrated on August 6 and 7, 2026, with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The two-day inter-house event brought together guests, students, and teachers in a vibrant celebration of creativity, talent, teamwork, and healthy competition.
The event commenced with a grand opening ceremony graced by the Chief Guest, Ms. Rema Prasanna Pisharody, poetess, who captivated the audience with a beautiful poem and an inspiring address. The ceremony was also attended by the Guest of Honour, Rev. Fr. Majish Mathew msfs, Principal of SFS High School, and Fr. Johnson. Their presence added grace to the occasion and inspired the students to participate wholeheartedly in the true spirit of healthy competition.
In his motivational address, Rev. Fr. Majish Mathew msfs drew the students’ attention to the remarkable qualities of ants. He highlighted their discipline, unity, perseverance, and ability to plan ahead for the future. He encouraged the students to be farsighted, work consistently towards their goals, and prepare today for a successful tomorrow.
Students enthusiastically participated in a wide variety of competitions, showcasing their talents with confidence, creativity, and dedication. The group events held on the second day were equally vibrant, with students demonstrating remarkable energy, passion, coordination, and teamwork. Each competition provided an opportunity for students to explore their potential, celebrate their talents, and learn the value of collaboration and sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony was graced by Rev. Fr. Riju Jose msfs. Ambitious Avengers emerged as the Overall Champions, while Nifty Knights secured the Runner-up position.
