The academic session at SFS Academy officially commenced with a grand
inauguration program, "Bienvenido ’26." Organised by the students of Grade X
under the inspiring theme "Learn, Grow and Lead," the event brought together
students, faculty, and distinguished guests to set a purposeful tone for the
upcoming school year. The venue radiated energy, beautifully reflecting the
school's commitment to holistic development and student leadership.
The ceremony began with a solemn procession led by the school band, welcoming
the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Clement Deep, Parish Priest of St. Teresa of Child Jesus
Church, Singasandra, alongside other esteemed dignitaries. A soulful prayer song
by the school choir set a serene atmosphere, followed by the ceremonial lighting of
the lamp by the guests. The programme gained momentum with a warm welcome
speech and a vibrant, foot-tapping dance performance that added immense joy and
lustre to the celebration.
A major highlight of the morning was a special blessing ceremony for the school
and its students. This was led by the Chief Guest and our distinguished guest,
including Rev. Fr. Mijo (Finance Administrator, SFS Group of Institutions), Rev.
Fr. Majish (Principal, SFS High School), Rev. Fr. Vijin (Finance Administrator,
SFS Group of Institutions, Mallur), and Rev. Fr. Joachim (Assistant Parish Priest,
SFS Church). Following the blessings, Rev. Fr. Clement delivered an inspiring
keynote address, urging students to cherish their education and remain resilient
through future challenges.
The event also took time to celebrate exceptional achievements and leadership.
The production team of 'Jungle Book'—a film entirely created by the staff and
students of SFS Academy—was proudly felicitated with mementos and
certificates. Additionally, former Academic Coordinators Mrs. Debjani Sengupta,
Mrs. Sarika Mishra, and Mrs. Rosamma James received heartfelt honours for their
years of dedication and hard work. This memorable day concluded with a formal
vote of thanks and the collective singing of the National Anthem, leaving the
student community deeply motivated for the new academic term.
