After weeks of organizing, planning and excitement, UBUNTU- A fun fair for all, finally arrived on 8th September 2018. Between 9 am to 2 pm at SFS Academy, was the most fun filled and happiest crowd you have ever seen! Rev. Dr. Jabamalai, Principal of SFS Public School, inaugurated the fest with joy and enormous excitement. The fest was open for all students and parents who are a part of the SFS group of institutions. The management, teaching and Non-teaching staff put in their best foot forward to make sure the event is organized in a systematic and orderly manner. Bumper prizes of the lucky draw were put on display as everyone waited eagerly for the results. The prizes were a Refrigerator, a Bicycle and an Induction stove. Ubuntu also gave away 25 consolation prizes to lucky participants. Over 5000 people showed up with beaming faces and tokens in hand to be a part of this humanitarian cause to help the children of Africa. There were 11 food stalls put up in the basketball court and 27 game counters were set up in the school ground. The games tested precision, talent, motor and visual co-ordination and energy of all age groups. Parents and students dedicated songs/ music to their near and dear ones at the Hello Tunes counter. They even left cute messages to their teachers. The audience and participants of the fun fest came well prepared to ravish the delicacies and food items prepared by the staff of SFS Academy. The demand for these tasty snacks drinks and food exceeded our expectations. The announcement of the lucky draw winner and the closing ceremony was graced by Rev. Fr. Saju, Principal of SFS High School and our dearest Principal Rev. Fr. P M Lawrence. Every person who attended Ubuntu enjoyed it to the fullest. Some really special memories were created that would be cherished for a life time. Overall Ubuntu 2018-19 was a grand success. We can’t wait to celebrate this day again!
