Bienvenido- the Academic Inaugural Ceremony of SFS Academy 2018-19 was organized by the event committee on 11th June 2018 between 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. This day was the re-opening day for the nursery section as well, where all parents and guardians were encouraged to bring their wards to witnesses and experience what they would be learning and what they could learn in their future with us. Rev. Fr. Ebin Christopher (Prof. of Psychology, Suvidya College, Electronics City- Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales), graced the occasion as the chief guest while Rev. Fr. Joshy Thazhathukunnel, presided over the ceremony as its president. Amongst the guests of honor were Rev. Fr. Saju Jose (Principal of SFS High School), Rev. Fr. Japamalai (Principal of SFS Public School- ICSE, ISC) and Rev. Fr. Tony A J (Finance Administrator- SFS Group of Institutions).Welcoming the chief guest and the dignitaries was the immaculate and well-disciplined Band members, Flower girls and NCC cadets of SFS Academy.

The ceremony was a semi-formal one which began with the introduction to the event, a prayer song, the welcoming of our guests, faculty, students and the lighting of the lamp- that is symbolic to begin any auspicious program. To lighten the mood and bring all members on board this magnificent roller coaster ride i.e. SFS Academy, was the dance performance of the most celebrated group in our institution- our kindergarteners. Following which was the inspiring speech of the chief guest Rev. Fr. Ebin Christopher who had an interaction session with the children that focused on creativity and over all development of students. Inspired by the words of our chief guest, the program then moved towards the blessing of the school where our guests of honor and the president of the function welcomed our new principal to be a part of this huge family. They were then invited to pray for the holistic wellbeing of SFS Academy.

Another dance performance by the high school students made us relive our days as children and reminded us of our school experiences. Our principal, Rev. Fr. P M. Lawrence’s speech was intriguing and involved an interaction with the parents and students. He also narrated an enticing story about the student- teacher relationship, and guidelines about the institution with a promise to take SFS Academy to greater heights. The ceremony came to an end with the felicitation of the chief guest, guests of honor and the principal, the vote of thanks by the students and the national anthem. Excited and eager parents and guardians were then led to their ward’s respective classrooms with a welcome card, which followed personal interactions with the class teachers and management staff.
