Christmas is well known as the festival of joy, laughter and happiness. This feast day of Christ is celebrated in the honour of birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is celebrated all across the world every year on 25th of December. SFS Academy and all its members celebrated Christmas on 22nd December 2017 with great pomp and vigour. After a month of preparations the school was decorated and gifts were bought. All students, teaching and non- teaching faculty indulged in making this event most memorable.

A program was organised by the cultural team of the school under the guidance of the principal, Rev. Fr. Soby Thomas, which had Rev. Dr. Binu Edathumparambil as the chief guest of the day. The program portrayed a tableau of the nativity of Christmas, the choir grabbed everyone’s attention through their melodious jingles, and students proceeded to narrate the story of Lord Jesus through a street play and an intriguing and breath-taking dance. Rev. Dr. Binu Edathumparambil gave a wonderful speech and interacted with all the students.

He praised and thanked all members of SFS Academy for the effort that went into making the day quite special. After the stage program all students continued with their celebration within their classrooms, shared presents with each other and their teachers, well as indulged in some yummy plum cake and sweets. The teachers regressed into their own childhood experiences of Christmas and shared it with their students. It was indeed a merry day!
